I'm researching a guided walk for a class at West Valley College, and need to know some of the history of the Warner Hutton House at 13777 Fruitvale Avenue.

I have a copy of the DPR523 form, so I know Mr. Hutton was born in New York in 1842, purchased 175 acres of land from his parents, was given their remaining 25 acres in 1896 and built the house about the same time.

Was the house's original location at 13495 Sousa Lane?
Did Mr. Hutton build it himself?
\What did Mr. Hutton use his acreage for, and was his house a typical farmhouse for the time?
How long did he own the house and acreage?

Thanks for any background on this fine old Victorian and its builder.

Mark
